T K Racing was set
up to encourage talented young riders to come forward
into a profession they may not have been
able to progress in without guidance. John Waller, Team
Principal, has 15 years mechanical and bike set-up experience
with race bikes in World Championship racing.
The team
was set up midway through 2005 and is currently running in the British
Junior 600cc Superstock Championship. For 2008 we have factory support
from Yamaha and Rob McElnea Racing.

As a team, T K Racing has been awarded Best
Presented Team at several race meetings this year. We also
offer a full race bike preparation service to prepare your own
race bikes.
In 2006 TK Racing
had a three rider team racing in the New Era Championship on
CB500's, with a 3 year plan to be competitive within the
championship. Within one year the team had achieved 1st, 2nd
and 3rd in the Clubman's Championship and 2nd, 3rd and 8th in
the Superclub Championship achieving numerous podium finishes,
lap records and wins.
In 2007 Ryan Tyers
won the Honda CB500 Superclub Championship for TK Racing and achieved
numerous podium finishes, lap records and wins.
Throughout 2006 and 2007 TK
Racing didn't have any technical or mechanical problems which
proves the ability and commitment of the team. We went from
being unknown to dominate and respected in the championship.
Future Plans
We are
running Yamaha R6's in the Superstock Championship which runs alongside
the British Superbike Championship. The Junior Superstock is for riders
aged 16-25 years old with national licences on production-based bikes.
we have set this as a two year plan as there will be top riders from all
over the world competing. Within the first year the team will be
learning circuits, getting used to the bike and used to the pressure of
100,000+ spectators and TV coverage.
We hope to finish
the 2008 season within the top ten in the championship. As this is such a competitive
class with 80+ riders taking part in qualifying and only 36 grid
positions available, just qualifying is an achievement in itself. In
2009 TK Racing will hopefully be challenging for the
championship.
As in previous years TK Racing will also be running a junior
team in
the New Era CB 500 championship. |
